God's Kingdom Moving Forward At Binkley Elementary School

So last night, I was at open house at Binkley where my wife teaches, and I had a great conversation with about 3 families where they were all in some way or another hungry for God. One man shared that he was pleased that his son is going to youth group and he had questions about God. I shared with him for about 20 minuites and he is deffinatly opening up to spiritual things. I also had a conversation with a friend who is far from God and he refered to something being a "Miracle". Pretty cool what it happening!

Thinking about our next series, will you pray with me.

Hey youth group,

I am praying about this summer, and I am hearing something, and I want you all to pray with me about it. I hear God saying something to me about testimonies of people in the church coming and sharing their lives with us. of all age groups sharing to our group (One person per week). The purpose would be to bond the gererational gap that is there.

I need help O you creative teens out there. I am thinking about calling this series

"T-mony"

For testimony...

Any thoughts or ideas to make this fly? Anyone's testimony you want to hear? What types of struggles do you want to hear about where God has helped?

Let me know, give me a call or email me or text me...

Spiritual Hunger at Airway School

Yesterday, Jose and I went to the school and were asked to share a testimony about a past life of drugs and ended up being able to share the Gospel of Christ with them. There were kids after the testimony that we talked with and an openness in their hearts. We did not see conversions, but a tenderness in a lot of kids hearts. The first group of kids were easier (High School), but the second group was really tough to talk to. They interrupted a lot and there was a huge lack of respect. I asked Becky Downard if I could share, and I shared my testimony of living in a home where there was drug addiction. I told how I was living without hope, and that I found my life and hope in Jesus. When I said Jesus' name, the room went silent! There was a hunger for more, so we talked with kids afterwards. One kid really was currently walking in a path that I went through when I was in high school, but did not have hope in Jesus. SO I asked him, "Do you need the hope that I am talking about today in Jesus?" HE said, "I am on a good path", but then I said, "We can be on a good path and get help from friends, family, things..., but nothing will satisfy like Jesus, do you want Him?" He said, no, not yet. As he was saying that, in the corner of my eye, I saw Jose hugging the "hardest kid" in the school!!! The kid leaned in for the hug! This kid was one that was causing disturbances in class as we talked, and shared he walks around with so much hate and anger. He said, "The only reason I do not walk around and shank people is because I am a coward!" This kid now was receiving a hug from a believer. These kids were and are longing so much for love. They look hard on the surface, but deep down they are teddy bears wanting a hug and to be loved by someone. Powerful Morning!!! Praise God!!!

It Just Keeps Getting Better!

Wow, I am just blown away by God right now in my life. 54 conversions in 1 month, and praise the lord for what He is doing in our worship services.

Today, Worship was so great! Amy (My wife) gave the testimony about her school and during the music part of worship, it started slow, but then took off! People were really praising God. Pastor talked on 1 Thess. and shared about the importance of High level relationships- not just surface level relationships... If you are part of our church and want to share with me your testimony of what God is doing in you or through you, please email me at srncyouth@pacbell.net

Text Series

Text Series at youth Group. One more week (Ends May 22)

Another Testimony That Happened Tonight! SAFEWAY

Amy and I were at Safeway buying food,
and as we were walking in, I said to her, "I feel like
I can just wittness to anyone right now---- even that
guy right there (witch I did not do)" We were in the
store shopping and amy pointed out this book that her
school is "saving pennies for" and this lady heard us
talking about this book. She started a conversation
that ended up lasting over 40 minuites! somehow we
got on the topic of church and she went to the
Methodist church and is "Seeing some movement of the
spirit". When I asked how? She was not really able to
explain. She then said, "Honestly, when I was driving
over to the store tonight, I asked God to become real
to me. I have had a hard time lately and really
needed to encounter God." I shared with her what was
heppening... By the way, 53 conversions! One more
today with servant evangelism... Tell you later...

Amy and I prayed for her in the store and she was
crying.. "I don't feel free to worship at her church
for 18 years." She was at the height of learning at
the church and they put out the fire's flame. She
said, I want what you have. She began to ask about
the Nazarene Chruch, and I did not push anything, but
she knew that she was coming tomorrow. I told her to
feel as free as she wants as she worships. We won't
be shocked! GOD IS AWESOME. She told us that she
felt free. she encountered God and was amazed at Him
tonight!

50 People came to Christ in the last 3 weeks!!!

More on this later, but here is what happened in amy's second grade class this morning!

AMY TIPPIT'S 2ND GRADE CLASS: some of the kids came in from recess with questions about Lucifer, Jesus, and The Father. She answered each question the kids asked her. This lasted about 30 min. Then a little girl asked her if Jesus could only be her (Amy's) friend. Amy said no that Jesus could be everyone's friend. Then the little girl asked if Jesus could be her friend and the rest of the class responded in the same way. Then Amy prayed with the class and talked about sin/mistakes and she asked if anyone prayed that prayer with her and the whole class raise their hands. And some of the kids asked if they could keep talking through lunch.
